Nikon film scanners discontinued

Nikon has now discontinued production of 35mm film scanners.
There is no stock left of the Nikon Coolscan LS50ED (V ED) nor of the Nikon Coolscan LS5000ED.
Only the LS9000ED is still available while stock lasts (link), though it is significantly more expensive than the other models.
There are no replacement products from Nikon. Alternative products include:
